Simply turn off Win 10 location sharing for desktop apps. Not entirely sure you want to geolocate your IP otherwise. With disabled access to the Win 10 location, desktop applications (like web browsers) will have to use their own algorithms (usually much better) for determining location. I'd suggest users set their location if they are that interested. ![]() It will fall back on your IP geolocation when there aren't other options. And check if in Settings- Net and Internet - VPN, isn't any VPN set. Before we get into any 101 fixes - I deal with location tech in my job, and I know W10. Users can set their locations manually usually. Because is you aren't running windows in a device with GPS, it use the IP for location, try resetting the router. This is probably a Windows 10 API problem not an Edge issue, but geolocation is wrong - usually really, really wrong - in Edge. ![]() One is your ISP, the other is the wireless networks around you (the Bing and Google Maps cars are constantly recording triangulation of wifi networks for that purpose) The geolocation information comes from a couple of places.
